The Young Farmer Education Program builds community. By connecting youth with interested CSA members, we invest in the next generation who will transform our food system.
Successful Young Farmers will continue through the program for four years. At the completion of their fourth year, the Young Farmers will be ready to pursue their own career as independent farmers.
Young Farmers learn how to care for a garden and work with customers. Community partners ensure that we provide a wholistic education so that the Young Farmers leave the program knowing how to care for the environment, their own health and their finances.
CSA members invest in their own health. They will recieve weekly deliveries of produce. In addition, they invest in the health of their community. An annual Young Famer CSA membership makes the community building and education possible. All proceeds go to the Young Farmer.
