The Young Farmer Education Program builds community. By connecting youth with interested CSA members, we invest in the next generation of people who will transform our food system.
Successful Young Farmers will continue through the program for four years. At the completion of their fourth year, the Young Farmers will be ready to pursue their own career as independent farmers.
Young Farmers learn how to care for a garden and work with customers. Community partners ensure that we provide a holistic education so that the Young Farmers leave the program knowing how to care for the environment, their own health and their finances.
Young Farmer CSA members invest in their own health and the health of their community. Members will receive weekly deliveries of fresh produce. In addition, CSA members know that they are helping to build community and support a unique education opportunity.
